The VP, Specialty Retail Marketing Leader will spearhead the marketing organization for retail financing programs specifically within the specialty retail sector. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing marketing strategies and tactics that align with our retail partners' business objectives while also driving Synchrony's growth metrics. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with both the Synchrony sales team and our retail partners to foster incremental cardholder growth and enhance card usage. This position not only requires strategic oversight but also involves direct leadership of a team, ensuring that marketing initiatives are effectively implemented and monitored for success. In this role, you will be responsible for developing dynamic annual growth strategies and plans in partnership with business and client teams. You will lead the creation of new client financing program value propositions and go-to-market strategies, establishing key relationships at senior levels within client organizations. Understanding and integrating clients' business objectives and marketing calendars into the planning process is essential to achieving set goals. You will also be tasked with optimizing marketing spend and identifying portfolio segments to target for business growth, implementing programs that drive results. Your responsibilities will encompass managing all aspects of the value proposition, including acquisition offers, lifecycle campaigns, and loyalty programs, while also tracking industry trends and customer experience metrics. Ensuring program profitability and penetration through continuous enhancements will be a key focus, as will driving programs that operate effectively in a multi-channel environment. You will monitor and manage the performance of all key credit and marketing metrics against the plan, assisting in the development of Synchrony's financial planning cycle. Additionally, you will lead and develop a team of direct reports, ensuring high performance and engagement across the marketing organization.
