About the position

The Wafer Test Engineer at Acacia is responsible for assisting in the design and testing of photonic components and circuits at various levels including die, wafer, and assembly. This role involves collaboration with the Design, NPI, and Operations teams to support calibration/test software, relational databases for manufacturing data, automated data handling systems, and intranet APIs. The position is integral to the Silicon Photonics Engineering team, which focuses on characterizing advanced photonics chips for optical communications products.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and testing of photonic components and circuits on die, wafer, and assembly levels.
• Collaborate with Design, NPI, and Operations teams.
• Support calibration/test software development.
• Manage relational databases for storage and retrieval of manufacturing data.
• Implement automated data handling systems and intranet APIs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience with a BS or 4+ years of experience with an MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a relevant major.
• Experience in .NET or other C-based language programming.
• Experience with database design and SQL.
• Experience with automated test equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in electrical, optical, RF, and/or digital testing and high volume manufacturing.
• Experience with wafer handling and/or probe testing platforms.
• Experience with database administration and query performance analysis in SQL Server and/or MySQL.
• Experience with ASP.NET, REST APIs, or any other back-end frameworks, and web programming and/or Python 3.
• Experience with test equipment communication interface layers (GPIB, USB, LAN, VXI-11, socket).
