About the position

As a Warehouse Fulfillment Specialist at Associated Grocers of New England (AGNE), you will play a crucial role in ensuring that families across New England receive their grocery needs. This position is essential to our operations, as you will be responsible for selecting grocery, perishable, and freezer products and preparing them for shipment to our independent retailers. The work environment is fast-paced, and you will be expected to operate independently while adhering to safety protocols. The starting wage for this position is $21 per hour, with opportunities for increased pay on Sundays and Fridays, as well as overtime after 8 hours of work. We also offer financial incentives for perfect attendance and hard work. Your typical work schedule will be from Sunday to Thursday, starting at 12 PM and continuing until completion, which averages between 8 to 10 hours. There may be occasional shifts on Fridays starting at 10 AM. Safety is our top priority, and you will receive proper training in operating electric pallet jacks and other equipment. No prior experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in warehouse operations. In this role, you will be expected to safely operate electric pallet jacks, build stable pallets of products, read shipping orders, label customer orders, and report any accidents or near misses to your supervisor. The ideal candidate will be at least 18 years old, possess physical stamina to lift 50-100 lbs unassisted, and be comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment, including conditions as low as -20 degrees. Attention to detail and the ability to follow audio directions via a headset are also essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate electric pallet jacks to collect products.
  • Build stable pallets of products made up of various shapes and sizes.
  • Read shipping orders to review products being selected.
  • Label customer orders and pallets to ensure proper delivery.
  • Work safely to prevent injury or damage to products.
  • Immediately report accidents, near misses, or property damage to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
  • Physical stamina to frequently lift 50-100 lbs unassisted.
  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods of time.

Nice-to-haves
