About the position

As a Warehouse Site Manager at Capstone Logistics, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse in Indianola, MS. This position requires a dedicated leader with a minimum of three years of management experience in the distribution or transportation sectors. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safety and efficiency within the warehouse while managing a team of associates. You will be responsible for daily communications with your team regarding service levels, accountability, pay, and performance, ensuring that all associates adhere to Capstone's policies and safety regulations. In this role, you will create daily work logs and transmit them to corporate, audit daily labor and billing reports, and ensure that customer needs are met consistently. You will document and resolve any customer service or associate issues that arise, hold weekly safety meetings, and assist in managing the site and departmental budget. Your responsibilities will also include scheduling associate shifts based on customer requirements, interviewing, hiring, and training new associates, and supervising timely and accurate data entry for all services performed. Additionally, you will complete daily closeouts, including cash balancing, data uploads, and payroll record administration according to Capstone's policies and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and prioritizing skills, the ability to multitask effectively, and the capability to make decisions and problem-solve in a dynamic warehouse environment. You will also need to manage budgets, read and interpret P&L statements, and prepare related management reports. Intermediate PC skills, particularly in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, are essential for success in this role. A background in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain management is preferred, and while a degree is a plus, it is not required. Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills are vital for fostering a productive work environment and ensuring high levels of service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise timely and accurate data entry for all services performed.
  • Complete daily closeout, including cash balancing, data upload, and payroll record administration.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of management and leadership experience in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates.
  • Strong organization and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to simultaneously perform multiple tasks.
  • Ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in a changing warehouse environment.
  • Ability to manage budgets and read and interpret P&L statements.
  • Intermediate PC skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent aptitude in estimating rates and performing basic arithmetic mentally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or third-party logistics.
  • BS/BA Degree or Associate Degree with equivalent experience is a plus but not required.
  • Proven track record in supervision of warehouse employees including hiring, training, and termination.
  • Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.
