About the position

The Warehouse Package Handler position at MyUS.com is responsible for efficiently placing and organizing packages within the warehouse inventory using a hand-held scanning device. This role is crucial for maintaining the flow of packages in the warehouse, ensuring that all inbound packages are stored in their designated locations. The position operates on the second shift from Monday to Friday, with opportunities for overtime during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Sort and put away packages in inventory using a hand-held scanning device.
• Locate and scan packages throughout various departments.
• Flexibly perform all functions within the Package Distribution department to ensure team success.
• Capture weight and dimensions for consolidated parcels.
• Utilize tape dispensers and knife openers as needed.
• Operate computer systems proficiently.
• Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times.
• Provide exemplary customer service and maintain a positive attitude.
• Perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and crouching repeatedly.
• Lift packages weighing between 20 to 49 pounds constantly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Walk long distances and stand for extended periods throughout the day.
• Be flexible with overtime during peak seasons.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Comfortable with physical demands including lifting and walking for long periods.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
