About the position
As a Warehouse Team Member at Samaritan's Purse, you will play a vital role in the Operation Christmas Child initiative by assisting in the processing and preparation of shoebox gifts for children in need. This temporary position involves working closely with volunteers to ensure the efficient operation of the Aurora, IL Processing Center, embodying the mission of bringing joy and support to communities around the world.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise volunteers in the Build a Shoebox processing activities.
- Unload and load large boxes containing shoebox gifts as a Dock & Warehouse Worker.
- Assist in the preparation of shoeboxes, ensuring quality and organization as a Prep Associate.
Requirements
- Supervisory or leadership experience in a team or volunteer setting.
- Ability to lift heavy items, with a minimum requirement of lifting 60 lbs for certain roles.
- Ability to multi-task and manage various responsibilities effectively.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in social media management.
- Background in pastoral or spiritual mentorship.
