About the position

UniFirst is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Loader/Unloader to join our UniFirst team. As a Team Partner in the Branch Warehouse, you will be responsible for supporting the timely flow of incoming and outgoing clean and soiled garments and products. This position is crucial to maintaining the efficiency of our operations and ensuring that our customers receive their products on time. In this role, you will be involved in various tasks including unloading clean products from transport shuttles, staging clean garments by route and day, and sorting soiled products by class and material. You will also be responsible for loading soiled products onto transport shuttles for return to the plant and ensuring that facility service inventory levels are monitored. Light janitorial duties are also part of the job, which includes maintaining cleanliness in the warehouse. Responsibilities

  • Unload clean products from transport shuttles
  • Stage clean garments by route and day to ensure accurate delivery
  • Remove soiled and clean return products from route trucks
  • Sort soiled products by class and material
  • Load soiled products onto transport shuttle for return to plant
  • Load garments and additional facility service products onto trucks in preparation for route deliveries
  • Monitor facility service inventory levels and notify management of shortages
  • Perform light janitorial duties including sweeping, emptying trash, picking up litter, and cleaning the warehouse
  • Follow all safety policies, HACCP and medical guidelines
  • Perform other duties as described by area supervisor or management.

Requirements

  • High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 16 years of age or older
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older to operate machinery
  • Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with management
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using American standard units in weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
