About The Position

The Wash Rack Laborer position at Modern Machinery involves working in a fast-paced environment to degrease, wash, and detail heavy equipment. This role is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of equipment as it arrives from the factory, returns from rental, or requires servicing. The position offers an hourly pay range of $23.00 to $26.00 and is eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage relationships both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Modern Machinery's core values and promote the mission and vision of the company.
• Follow all company policies, processes, and procedures.
• Exercise safe work practices to contribute to the achievement of the company's safety goals.
• Steam clean and detail heavy equipment, parts, and components.
• Operate heavy equipment to move it to and from the steam pad and to organize the equipment yard as needed.
• Ensure the steam pad and assigned equipment is maintained and functioning safely and properly.
• Complete and submit assigned work order reports, time entry, and all other paperwork daily.
• Provide janitorial support to the shop as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Sales Coordinator.
