About the position

The WayPoint Center Coordinator at United Way of the Bluegrass plays a crucial role in assisting clients at the Centro de San Juan Diego location. This position focuses on providing multi-tiered service delivery, connecting clients to essential resources such as financial education, tax counseling, and other supportive services. The coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring excellent customer service, and collaborating with community partners to enhance service offerings.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the WayPoint Center.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer satisfaction and service.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for client needs.
• Collaborate with community partners to provide onsite programs and services.
• Conduct professional assessments (intake) for clients.
• Access partner services and referrals through the UWBG 2-1-1 network.
• Act as a community advocate and UWBG ambassador.
• Manage documentation for organizational purposes, including grant reporting.
• Adapt to work between assigned WayPoint centers and community events.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• Fluent bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Minimum of two years of continuous work experience in an office environment required.
• Experience in human services, case management, or social services preferred.
• Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office, is required.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are necessary.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• Strong customer service skills and empathy for vulnerable populations are required.
• Valid Kentucky driver's license and access to a reliable automobile are required.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of current conditions and history of the neighborhoods served is preferred.
• Resident of one of the counties being served is highly preferred.
