About the position

The Web Content Manager at College Board will support the AP Web Management team's content production goals, ensuring that content projects progress smoothly through the production process. This role involves reviewing, revising, and editing content according to established guidelines, maintaining project plans, and optimizing the content management process. The position is fully remote but allows for hybrid work for those near College Board offices, and it is a full-time temporary role expected to last six months.

Responsibilities

  • Keep all assigned tickets on the AP Web Work Smartsheet board updated and moving through the production process.
  • Review, revise, rewrite and edit content as necessary per web editorial guidelines and direction from team Web Content Leads.
  • Ensure edits to decks are clear before passing them to the web team, assisting with additional edits from stakeholders during the quality control process, and notifying stakeholders when their updates have gone live.
  • Update content in our preview environments under guidance and direction from the Web Content Leads.
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the production process by sending content decks to stakeholders.
  • Create posting schedules and surface conflicts with the broader AP Web Team with enough anticipation to address them.
  • Support capacity planning with the team and ensure that the actual launch date of each ticket is recorded before closing it out.
  • Document team processes in team wiki and share when clarifications are needed.
  • Work with team project leads to determine priority of tickets.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience writing and editing content for the web and a bachelor's degree or similar experience in a related field.
  • Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to independently manage multiple projects in parallel and as a member of a larger team.
  • Systems and routines that guide your daily operations and help you squeeze efficiency and productivity out of your time.
  • Excellent attention to detail, you are the one catching things before projects are launched or completed.
  • Adept problem-solving skills, including using data to inform decisions and actions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitating meetings and presenting remotely and in-person to groups of 15 or more.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence others to action.
  • Experience making content changes to websites using content management systems (Drupal, Wordpress, Adobe AEM).
  • Proficiency with office software (word processing, spreadsheet management, presentation decks); mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneNote) preferred.
  • Familiarity with other project management software such as Smartsheet is preferred.
  • Familiarity with a 'post-Agile' world or mentality.
