About the position

Aptive is seeking a Web Knowledge Manager to design, manage, and coordinate an internal web portal that disseminates important Public Affairs information. The role requires strong writing, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to support government clients through various communication technologies. The candidate will be responsible for delivering regular updates and reports, developing content, and influencing strategy for client presentations in a fast-paced, executive-level environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communications plans.
  • Research, write, edit, and coordinate a broad range of communications/outreach materials under strict deadlines.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in communications and outreach.
  • Create and disseminate pitches, presentations, toolkits, and other communication materials to establish partnerships.
  • Coordinate and prepare meetings with DHS S&T senior leaders, tracking metrics and outcomes related to industry engagements.
  • Plan and coordinate speaking opportunities and vendor meetings at key conferences and industry engagements.
  • Orchestrate the activities of cross-functional teams, delivering project requirements of high quality and on schedule.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret information and data from various sources for content use.
  • Plan, generate, and deliver client-ready materials for stakeholders, including leadership.
  • Schedule, lead, and attend meetings with potential partners and clients regularly.
  • Develop content in compliance with AP style and other guidelines.
  • Review outreach material for stylistic and formatting consistency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic communications, outreach, public relations, and strategic partnership development.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, hard sciences, computer science, or a related field.
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Demonstrated experience building partnerships within and between federal agencies, nonprofits, and private sector partners.
  • Project management experience and expertise.
  • Familiarity with emerging technology and scientific research trends related to national security issues.
  • Expert knowledge of digital means to connect and engage.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of content management systems and database functionality.
  • Skilled in stakeholder identification and relationship management.
  • Expertise in branding, organization identity, and measurement.
  • Experience in risk communications, media relations, media monitoring, media analysis, and media reporting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in organizing and communicating information effectively.
