Responsibilities

• Act as a Technical Leader and Advisor for large/significantly complex projects, including website redesign and social media (digital) presence.
• Utilize a human-centered design approach to conduct user research to improve usability.
• Identify and develop creative web solutions for a wide variety of objectives and initiatives.
• Enhance digital strategy to drive a consistent and positive user experience across digital touchpoints.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
• 3+ years of creative design and research experience in a consulting or in-house environment
• 1+ year(s) of experience producing and/or overseeing the production of Figma prototypes
• 1+ year(s) of experience utilizing WordPress for website design
• Experience with modern design tools like Sketch, Axure, Principle, Framer, and InVision
• Experience implementing Low Fidelity Concepts
• Experience conducting User Interviews, User Surveys, and Journey Mapping
• Experience performing User Research (Quantitative/Qualitative) and Usability Testing
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance required for this role
• Ability to be on site 100% of the time in McLean, VA

Nice-to-haves

• SharePoint administration experience
• Ability to code with PHP Basics, HTML, and JavaScript
• Social Media content creation experience
• Experience with Heuristic Evaluation as a usability inspection method
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates your experience, storytelling, and design presentation skills
• Proven ability to drive the design direction in terms of user interaction and design patterns
• Prior experience in reviewing existing systems and processes to identify UX issues and develop UX recommendations
