Responsibilities
- Manage field crew in day-to-day production of projects
- Exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety
- Order tools and equipment
- Interpret blueprints/plans and construct accordingly
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Provide leadership to others through example
Requirements
- Five (5) years of experience managing crews on underground pipe projects
- Lift, push, or pull and move up to seventy (70) pounds
- Climb, kneel, twist, and bend in various environments
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers
- Demonstrated experience in utility work supervision to include gravity sewer, sewer force main, storm drain, and waterline (NNWW preferably)
- Responsibilities to include but not limited to everyday operations for pipe installation from approved plans, planning and procuring materials for work, coordinating staff, working with owner representatives, and implementing a safe workplace
- Be able to communicate in English via verbal and written communications
- Valid driver license for occasional, required travel
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to physically maneuver by foot minor obstacles at construction projects
- Work outdoors with exposure to changing weather conditions such as rain, sun, snow, and wind
