About the position

As the Weekend Manager overseeing Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of services during the weekend shifts. This role involves supervising staff, coordinating client care, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and standards, ultimately supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals while ensuring their well-being and dignity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of Direct Support Professionals during weekend shifts.
  • Ensure that clients receive high-quality support and care according to their individual needs and care plans.
  • Monitor and assist with daily living activities, promoting independence and well-being.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Document and report any incidents, concerns, or changes in client status.
  • Facilitate effective communication among staff, clients, and families.
  • Collaborate with other managers and staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Respond to emergencies and crisis situations, implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff in challenging situations.
  • Ability to cover shifts as needed during the weekend.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work weekends, including holidays.
  • Ability to handle physical demands associated with client care and support.
  • Comfortable working in a variety of settings, including residential and community environments.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a direct support or caregiving environment.
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities, mental health, or related fields is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medication Administration Certification required.
