About the position

The Senior Executive Underwriter is responsible for underwriting, servicing, and growing a profitable book of Excess and Surplus (E&S) Property business through a wide range of wholesale brokers. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovative thinking, and a customer-first mindset, allowing underwriters to make impactful decisions while working closely with key stakeholders. The position offers opportunities for career growth in both technical and leadership capacities.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite, service, and grow a profitable book of E&S Property business.
• Collaborate with wholesale brokers to provide tailored coverage solutions.
• Analyze data and employ critical thinking to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external business partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 5+ years of Commercial Property underwriting experience; E&S Property underwriting experience preferred.
• Prior experience working within the wholesale distribution channel preferred.
• Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining solid relationships with business partners.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to think analytically about business problems and propose solutions.
• High energy self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Solid time, organizational, and desk management skills.
• Goal-oriented with a focus on delivering outcomes.
