About the position

The Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC) Field Service Engineer will provide on-site support at the Washington Planning Center (WPC) in the Washington Navy Yard, DC. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading systems related to TMPC products, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards, and working closely with customers to meet their technical needs.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose system/software issues.
  • Maintain systems with software and security updates.
  • Support system upgrades/installations.
  • Support cyber security accreditation of Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC).
  • Investigate and report software discrepancies.
  • Support test events and other related customer requirements.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience with a BS/BA degree, 3 years with an MS/MA degree, or 0 years with a PhD; in lieu of a degree, 9 years of applicable experience is acceptable.
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Must have or obtain DoD Directive 8570 Information Assurance compliance (Security+ certification) within 3 months and Computing Environment compliance within 6 months.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft products, including Operating Systems, SQL, PowerShell, and Office; Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Server Management Studio, Active Directory, RedHat Virtualization.
  • Strong Windows background - Windows/RedHat.
  • General knowledge of networking.
  • Possess good oral and written skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior US Navy experience with Tomahawk background.
  • Operational knowledge of Theatre Mission Planning Center (TMPC).
  • Possess software and/or systems engineering skills.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $86,000 - $138,000 based on experience and other factors.
