Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity, and bringing your whole self to work — and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to join its Classified Solutions team. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, and this is not a remote work opportunity. The selected candidate will also be required to obtain a DoD Secret level security clearance before a start date can be established, and maintaining the required security clearance will be a condition of continued employment. Responsibilities will include performing as a Windows Systems Administrator for a classified government contract, communicating effectively at all levels of the organization, and maintaining the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems. This includes coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management. The role also involves supporting multiple networks while ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed and directing others as necessary. The Windows Systems Administrator will recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system, including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management. Additionally, the candidate will provide backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, and manage virus protection on a routine basis. The position requires creating and maintaining user and computer accounts, modifying file permissions and security access lists, testing new releases of products to ensure compatibility, and developing and documenting technical processes and procedures as needed. Adherence to strict Information Systems security guidelines is mandatory, and the candidate will maintain security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). Reporting project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts is also part of the job.
