About the position

The WordPress Developer position at HUB International is a key role within the Communication & Design (C&D) team, which focuses on creating engaging employee benefit communications through various digital platforms. The developer will be responsible for both front-end and back-end support, ensuring that websites are functional, user-friendly, and visually appealing. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Creating deliverables and websites for front-end support.
• Setting up design and function, including adjusting settings and styles.
• Adding plug-ins and forms to enhance website functionality.
• Activating and providing Google Analytics for performance tracking.
• Troubleshooting plug-ins and forms to ensure smooth operation.
• Maintaining server health and troubleshooting back-end issues.
• Duplicating websites and creating staging environments for testing.
• Managing email inboxes linked to websites and creating new servers as needed.
• Implementing feature add-ons and upgrades to improve website capabilities.
• Conducting security updates and performance testing for websites.
• Improving processes and efficiencies in website creation and hosting.
• Testing sites for cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in WordPress development.
• Experience with building mobile apps.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS, JavaScript, HTML5, and database systems.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and compliance.
• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices preferred.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A creative mindset.
