About the position

The Workday Application Manager for Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll, Absence and Time Tracking (PATT) is responsible for collaborating with business stakeholders and partners to strategically design and deliver digital HR processes and solutions that promote operational excellence. This role encompasses governance, planning, and execution activities related to Workday HR, Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and associated solutions and ecosystem components. The manager will align technology with business strategies, conduct systems analysis, define requirements, and support Workday in accordance with key business objectives. The position involves ideation, design, planning, execution, and delivery of Workday HCM and PATT solutions and enhancements, including configurations, workflows, process improvements, business analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, the manager oversees technology operations, managing day-to-day Workday support requests and incidents. This role requires maintaining cross-functional engagement within Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Payroll, and Technology Integration teams. A strong blend of functional expertise in business processes, technical expertise in Workday, systems integration, and data management, along with people management responsibilities, is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and deliver HR digital processes and solutions.
  • Govern and execute activities surrounding Workday HR, Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking solutions.
  • Align technology strategies with business objectives and conduct systems analysis.
  • Define requirements and support Workday integration and testing.
  • Oversee the ideation, design, planning, execution, and delivery of Workday HCM and PATT solutions.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of Workday support requests and incidents.
  • Maintain cross-functional engagement within Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Payroll, and Technology Integration teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Seven (7) years of job-related experience in a similar capacity required.
  • Five (5) years of Workday HCM and PATT experience in a healthcare environment required.
  • Five (5) years of leadership experience required.
  • Three (3) years of project management experience required.
  • Experience in implementation and management of enterprise HR, Payroll, and Time Tracking systems.
  • Ability to articulate messages clearly to all organizational levels.
  • Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities.
  • Skills in project planning, management, risk monitoring, and mitigation.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Ability to motivate and set direction for a team.
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
