About the position

As a Senior Cloud Consultant at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will play a pivotal role in helping U.S. Intelligence Community agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions. This position is designed for individuals who are not only technically proficient but also possess the consultative and leadership skills necessary to guide projects towards success. You will be working with cutting-edge cloud technologies and will be responsible for educating and training clients on application architectures and integration approaches. Your expertise will be crucial in addressing technical challenges and ensuring that solutions are aligned with security best practices for applications, servers, and networks. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of clients, focusing on the unique needs of the Intelligence Community. You will engage in various projects that require a deep understanding of large-scale computing solutions, and you will be expected to contribute to architecture discussions and design exercises. This role requires an active TS/SCI security clearance, and you will be expected to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% to deliver professional services to clients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional services to clients, including consulting and implementation of cloud solutions.
• Educate and train clients on application architectures and integration approaches.
• Engage in deep-dive education and design exercises to create innovative solutions on AWS.
• Collaborate with AWS teams to ensure customer success and drive feature innovation based on customer needs.
• Maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance and comply with security requirements for government agencies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications or equivalent education experience.
• 3+ years of experience with software development tools and methodologies.
• Technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI.

Nice-to-haves

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, software, DevOps, and networking.
• Experience in technology/software sales consulting or equivalent skills.
• Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
• Experience migrating or transforming Legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware, and storage.
• Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
• Technical degree; Computer Science or Math background highly desired.
