The YCCI Statistical Programmer position at Yale University is a full-time role focused on supporting the newly established group within the Yale Center for Clinical Investigation (YCCI). This group is dedicated to collaborating with the Yale Center for Analytical Sciences (YCAS) and other biostatisticians in the Department of Biostatistics. The primary aim is to provide consultation to Yale faculty and trainees on various methodological approaches in interventional clinical trials, human pathophysiology studies, observational and epidemiological studies, and health care delivery science studies. The role requires a Master's level biostatistician or epidemiologist who can effectively contribute to the design, execution, and analysis of research studies. As a member of a research team, the Statistical Programmer will apply statistical skills to the design of research studies, ensuring that appropriate statistical input is integrated throughout the research process. This includes participating in the development of operations and procedures for the collection, editing, verification, and management of statistical data. The programmer will also operate various systems of computer hardware and statistical analysis software to manage and analyze data, ensuring the validity and accuracy of the statistical methods used. In addition to data analysis, the role involves processing large datasets for statistical modeling and graphic analysis, preparing reports on the applicability and efficiency of statistical methods, and participating in the preparation of written and oral presentations that summarize data analyses. The Statistical Programmer may also be assigned other duties as needed, contributing to the overall success of the research initiatives at YCCI.
