About the position
Join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA as a Yeast Extract Process Engineer under a VIE contract for 18 months. You will be involved in optimizing production processes, supporting new equipment start-ups, and contributing to new product development.
Responsibilities
- Optimize production processes (autolysis, microfiltration, drying, etc.) alongside the group's industrial management
- Support the drying department at Cedar Rapids
- Conduct and coordinate studies and continuous improvement actions in terms of time, organization, and cost
- Participate in the start-up of new installations
- Lead industrial trials
- Take on other assigned projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in food-industrial engineering
- At least 1 year of industrial field experience (postgraduate)
- Fluent English is mandatory
- Solid knowledge of unit operations of industrial processes
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment with autonomy, initiative, and teamwork skills
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on engineering mindset
