About the position
ICF is seeking a detail-oriented candidate to support clients and projects on the Beneficial Electrification team in our Utility Programs and Services Division. Beneficial Electrification programs promote the displacement of fossil-fueled equipment with electric-powered equipment for clients and their customers. Examples of these programs include Fleet Electrification Advisory Services, Building Electrification Services, Electric Vehicle (EV) and Electric Vehicle Support Equipment (EVSE) Incentive programs, and EVSE infrastructure solutions. By supporting these programs, you will help customers save money and reduce emissions while also growing utility electricity sales. You will provide a variety of support including research, data analysis, and operational support for Beneficial Electrification/EV programs. Our 2025 Summer Internship is a 10-week, full-time program that generally begins in early June and concludes in mid-August. The intern may work fully remote from a U.S. location, or a hybrid schedule (generally 1 day per week) from either our New York, NY, Cambridge, MA, Tempe, AZ or Seattle, WA office. At this time, we are unable to provide relocation nor housing assistance for internships.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with program team members and cross functional teams to support program success
- Analyze market trends, partners, and technologies to improve program delivery
- Support EV, EVSE, electrification, or incentive/grant research projects
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Sustainability, Environment, Communications, Policy or closely related discipline (with an anticipated graduation of August 2025 or later)

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, remotely, and on projects with dynamic timelines
- Experience in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- Detail-oriented
- Related trade experience and the initiative to embrace continuous learning toward becoming an expert in program technologies and offerings
