The Driver Shuttle position at Coca-Cola UNITED is a vital role within the Southern Pine Department, specifically at the Montgomery Offsite Warehouse. This non-touch freight position involves the transportation of finished goods from the production plant and raw materials from the warehouse to the plant. The work schedule is set for Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday, from 5 PM to 5 AM, ensuring that drivers are home every night after their shifts. The role is designed to promote a fast-paced environment that encourages a healthy lifestyle while providing opportunities for career advancement through on-the-job training and support. In this position, drivers are responsible for ensuring that all loads are picked up from the plant without delays, maintaining the timely delivery of both finished goods and raw materials. This includes ensuring that all trailers are in place for successful startups and shutdowns, filling out and maintaining daily inspection sheets for shuttle tractors and trailers, and notifying the Service Department or Facility Manager of any issues. The role also requires drivers to work collaboratively with peers, management, and customers to achieve productivity goals, which typically involve pulling 12-14 loads per shift. Additionally, drivers may be required to perform occasional over-the-road driving and assist in the warehouse as needed to maintain overall productivity. Coca-Cola UNITED values its employees and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive compensation, paid vacation, medical and dental insurance, and a 401(k) match. The company is committed to supporting internal career growth and providing a work environment that promotes teamwork and safety.
