About the position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) in Oncology is responsible for performing basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision. This role involves assisting patients with personal care, reporting changes in their conditions, and maintaining a clean and orderly environment. The position is full-time, with shifts from 7 am to 7:30 pm, including an alternating weekend schedule.

Responsibilities

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly, and maintain medical equipment.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Nurse Aide credential from the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry preferred.
