About the position

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function within the company. This role involves developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and managing employee relations to foster a safe and engaged work environment. The HR Manager also leads recruitment efforts, manages talent management processes, and participates in strategic planning as part of the global HR leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Human Resources and Environmental, Health and Safety functions to ensure a compliant work environment.
  • Manage employee relations to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Plan, organize, and control all activities of the HR department.
  • Develop and manage department goals, objectives, budgets, and systems.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for all employee levels, including temporary workers and contractors.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and monitor career-path programs.
  • Analyze data to improve HR policies and inform organizational decisions.
  • Maintain department records and reports, including organizational charts and employee directories.
  • Evaluate department initiatives against established goals and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Manage talent management processes including acquisition, onboarding, and performance management.
  • Oversee payroll processes for accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead communications throughout the facility and coach leaders on effective communication strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in human resources management or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience in managing payroll and HR programs.
  • Familiarity with local and national employment laws.

Nice-to-haves

  • Human resource experience in the automotive manufacturing industry.
  • Five years of HR management experience in a similar role.
  • Human Resources professional certification.
