About the position

The Protective Intelligence Research Analyst at American Express plays a crucial role in analyzing and assessing threats to the company's executives, colleagues, and assets globally. This position involves gathering, analyzing, and producing actionable intelligence to support informed decision-making across various levels of the organization. The analyst will work closely with key stakeholders to enhance operational readiness and provide critical insights into potential threats.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance priority intelligence requirements aligned with stakeholder needs.
  • Leverage OSINT and proprietary information to create written intelligence products.
  • Support protective intelligence investigations involving threats to leaders and facilities.
  • Produce and present threat assessments and briefings that are cohesive and professional.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with key teams/functions within the company.
  • Interact rapidly at all levels of the organization to provide subject matter expertise on threats.
  • Provide after-hours support as required.

Requirements

  • 10 years' experience in a large mission-critical environment in executive protection, criminal justice, intelligence, security, or related disciplines.
  • Previous experience with FBI BAU, US Secret Service, or similar organizations preferred.
  • Direct Intelligence Community (IC) experience, IC cleared.
  • In-depth understanding of threats affecting executives and corporate assets.
  • Working knowledge in executive protection, federal law enforcement, and related areas.
  • Experience with threat intelligence sharing communities in both IC and private sector.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced understanding of investigative techniques and threat-based intelligence analysis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including analytic writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in data visualization and structured analytic techniques.
  • Ability to assess the significance and reliability of information.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
