About the position

The Scrum Master - Global Marketing Ostomy Care (Fixed Term Contractor) at Convatec will coach the global marketing team on Agile marketing tools and processes to enhance efficiency and output. This role involves leading project core teams to ensure accountability and coordination of campaign and product launch plans, contributing to the company's mission of providing trusted medical solutions for chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams to help them adopt and adapt Agile practices that improve team productivity, communication, and collaboration.
  • Act as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, guiding them through the Scrum framework, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Organize and facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Help teams become self-organizing and accountable, empowering them to take ownership of their deliverables and outcomes.
  • Actively work to identify and remove impediments that are slowing down the team's progress, ensuring smooth sprint execution.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and alignment with business objectives.
  • Encourage a mindset of continuous improvement by helping teams identify areas for improvement and guiding them through the process of implementing these changes.
  • Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, ensuring that expectations are managed and that the team is aligned with business priorities.
  • Track and report on key Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burn-down charts) to ensure transparency and inform decision-making.
  • Promote Agile best practices and a culture of agility throughout the organization, including coaching at the leadership and team levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar role, guiding teams in Agile practices and principles.
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar certification.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and experience in applying them in both technical and non-technical environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching teams, and resolving conflicts.
  • Proficiency in identifying and removing impediments, improving team performance, and leading continuous improvement efforts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and foster a positive and collaborative working environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced Agile Certifications: Agile Coaching certification (e.g., ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF) or advanced Scrum certifications (e.g., A-CSM, CSP-SM).
  • Experience in applying Agile practices in various business domains (e.g., technology, HR, marketing, finance).
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring leaders in Agile practices.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft suite of products.
