About the position

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our innovative team in Glendale, CA. This hybrid role involves developing and maintaining high-quality mobile web and desktop experiences using Python. The ideal candidate will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to create scalable web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience across devices while adhering to best practices in coding and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable web applications using modern technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Maintain and improve existing applications by troubleshooting and optimizing performance.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure a seamless user experience across various devices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews to promote quality and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance skills and contribute to team growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Backend Software Development experience
• Backend experience in Python & Django or Flask
• Familiarity with cloud services like GCP, AWS, or Azure

Nice-to-haves

• Frontend experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Knowledge of NoSQL data-stores, task queues, and common architectural components
• Unix/Linux
• Docker and general containerization
