About the position

StubHub is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design and develop next-generation technologies and complex features that enhance the live event experience for users globally. This role involves tackling significant challenges, mentoring team members, and contributing to the Consumer Experience team, which focuses on creating a seamless product experience for fans buying and selling tickets. The position is hybrid, based in either New York, NY or Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain impactful improvements across all StubHub's platforms and products.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure best practices across our code.
• Manage individual initiative priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with your technical expertise.
• Mentor other team members and help many increase their technical capabilities.

Requirements

• 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Extensive experience developing robust systems using multiple front-end and back-end programming languages and frameworks (Java, C#, Python, React, Javascript).
• Previous experience designing and developing features for consumer-facing products.
• A strong understanding of how their systems interact with the broader production environment, including dependencies and platform primitives.
• Proven ability to learn other coding languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools.
• Experience owning projects from the initial idea all the way to production, and mentoring junior engineers along the way.
