About the position

As a Senior Software Engineer at Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. (RGi), you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing software applications that support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). This position involves working closely with stakeholders and Data Analysts to create solutions that process ETL on diverse data sets, utilizing Big Data technologies like Spark/PySpark. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs and generating requirements to ensure mission success, all while working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Update all application workflows to improve performance and resiliency.
• Work in a multi-faceted software development team to build and maintain software applications backed by a self-managed cloud infrastructure.
• Solve unique and challenging intelligence problems in support of special operations analysts.
• Support a diverse background of experience in mission support and software development.
• Engage in prototyping and iterative feedback to enhance delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions that meet specific mission needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science or related field.
• 12+ years development experience in modern languages (Python, Java, JavaScript).
