About the position

The position is for a Front Line Manager within the OLS-Digital Products division, responsible for overseeing a team, planning work, assigning tasks, and evaluating performance. The role involves managing resources, providing guidance, and ensuring the successful implementation of digital strategies to enhance customer experience. The manager will also be involved in hiring processes and addressing employee grievances, while focusing on improving work processes and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
  • Assign work to subordinates based on priorities and the capabilities of employees.
  • Evaluate work performance of subordinates and make recommendations for recognition or disciplinary action.
  • Provide advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on work and administrative matters.
  • Interview candidates for positions and recommend appointments, promotions, or reassignments.
  • Resolve complaints from employees and refer serious grievances as appropriate.
  • Identify developmental and training needs of employees and arrange for necessary training.
  • Initiate improvements in production and work processes.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience at a level equivalent to GS-13/IR-5 demonstrating managerial skills and technical competence.
  • Experience applying management techniques and principles for program objectives with technical and administrative oversight.
  • Experience managing resources and providing support to managers and mentoring team members.
  • Experience applying regulations and principles to oversee planning and implementation of technical programs.
  • Experience with digital strategy to evaluate the impact of digital programs on customer experience.
  • Experience in developing and managing enterprise-wide digital technology plans and software development lifecycles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in project/program management or as a technical advisor.
  • Experience with labor relations concepts.
