About the position

The Systems Software Engineer role focuses on tool development in Python for the Systems Development team, which is responsible for building and maintaining the platform that supports server and network infrastructure. This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact the efficiency and reliability of trading, research, installation, and monitoring systems through the enhancement and integration of existing tools and the design of new ones.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and integrate new tools and enhance existing ones to support automated systems engineering workflows, including machine provisioning, monitoring, metrics collection, maintenance, and network configuration.
• Identify, debug, and resolve software issues across a fleet of Linux machines, including application, network, OS, and kernel-related problems.
• Write configuration management code for the deployment and maintenance of new services, ensuring seamless integration and operational stability.
• Contribute to setting the technical direction for the Systems Python platform by developing best practices, driving innovation, and proposing enhancements.
• Work collaboratively within the Systems Development team, engaging with cross-functional teams to enhance platform functionality, reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in software development, particularly with Python.
• Strong experience with Linux systems.
