About the position
The Assistant Store Manager at Sally Beauty is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, leading associates, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This role involves developing strategies to achieve key performance indicators and financial targets while maintaining brand standards. The Assistant Manager will take charge of daily operations, especially in the absence of the Store Manager, and will focus on team development, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the direction and planning of associates' daily goals to maximize sales and customer loyalty.
- Act as the main point of contact for resolving customer issues and concerns.
- Engage, train, and develop team members to achieve positive results and maintain positive associate relations.
- Ensure execution of all company processes and support digital strategies such as Omni-channel fulfillment.
- Manage inventory, payroll hours, and ensure all store opening and closing procedures are performed correctly.
- Ensure a safe store environment for associates and customers, following all policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience preferred.
- At least 1+ year(s) prior management experience preferred.
- Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives.
- Effective communication skills with team and management.
Nice-to-haves
- Cosmetology license desirable, but not required.
