About the position

The Event Manager at LAZ Parking is responsible for overseeing the parking operations for events, ensuring that professional event management is maintained 24/7. This role is pivotal in promoting a people-first leadership culture, which is a core value of the company. The Event Manager will work under the direction of the Senior Manager and will be tasked with supporting various programs and initiatives that originate from the home office while also addressing the individual needs of operational teams during assigned events. The position requires a strong focus on creating a customer-centric culture that values approachability, knowledge, and engagement among team members. In this role, the Event Manager will identify high-potential employees to support the organization's growth and will aid in establishing a positive, safety-oriented workplace environment. The manager will oversee the Event department, aligning processes and resource planning with the overall business strategy. Monitoring key performance indicators is essential, and the Event Manager will need to make operational adjustments as necessary to ensure success. Compliance with all contractual agreements between LAZ Parking and its clients is a critical aspect of this position. The Event Manager will also be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance business operations. This includes developing short- and long-term strategic plans based on event knowledge and data analysis. The role involves preparing, tracking, and managing events and initiatives throughout the year, which includes task management, weekly update meetings, and issue escalation. Additionally, the Event Manager will manage staff scheduling, assignments, payroll processing, coaching, and development, while also collaborating with event venues to track events that impact parking operations. Overall, the Event Manager plays a crucial role in organizing and managing event operations, ensuring that all aspects of the events run smoothly and efficiently, while also fostering a positive work environment for all employees involved.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the parking operation for events under the direction of the Sr. Manager.
  • Promote a people-first leadership model by providing resources for employee growth.
  • Create a customer-centric culture that values approachability and engagement.
  • Identify high-potential employees to support organizational growth.
  • Establish a positive safety-oriented workplace environment.
  • Align processes and resource planning with overall business strategy.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and make operational adjustments as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements between LAZ Parking and clients.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategic plans based on event knowledge and data analysis.
  • Prepare, track, and manage events and initiatives throughout the year.
  • Manage staff scheduling, assignments, payroll processing, coaching, and development.
  • Work with Event Venue to track events impacting parking operations.
  • Implement and complete projects based on event needs.
  • Organize and manage the oversight of event operations.

Requirements

  • 3 years in a Management role.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, and General Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Parking and Event management experience is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to be flexible in schedule to meet operational needs.
