About the position

The Retail Stocker position at Spec's Family Partners Ltd involves providing exceptional shopping experiences for guests by ensuring that products are stocked, organized, and in-date. The role requires a commitment to the company's mission and values, as well as a focus on customer service and teamwork. The stocker will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the store, assisting guests, and performing various stocking and inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Know and actively demonstrate the Company Mission Statement and Core Values.
• Maintain uniform standard as detailed in the Employee Manual.
• Greet guests with a smiling face and helpful demeanor.
• Empty shopping cart onto register lane as needed.
• Stock shelves, front and dust product, and review for out of date items.
• Stock beer cooler, wine cooler, coke box, freezer, and/or deli case.
• Remove cases and/or boxes from the sales floor (other than organized case stack displays).
• Break down boxes not for store use and throw them away.
• Keep boxes used for re-packing in organized stacks and maintain area regularly.
• Clean up broken items and mop floors as necessary.
• Sweep and mop the floor.
• Keep the parking lot clean of refuse.
• Gather shopping carts from the parking lot on a regular basis.
• Empty trash receptacles in store and outside as needed.
• Keep bathrooms clean and stocked.
• Keep bags well stocked at registers.
• Utilize proper lifting techniques.
• Work in accordance with all safety regulations of Specs Family Partners and OSHA.
• Load keg orders using keg lift if available.
• Answer questions and provide information to guests.
• Resolve guest complaints with courtesy and respect.
• Suggestively sell add-on items to guests.
• Run a cash register as business dictates.
• Carry-out or dolly-out merchandise at guest request.
• Prepare assigned areas for inventory and assist in the inventory process if needed.
• Fulfill responsibilities with care and attention to detail.
• Practice teamwork and cooperation with others.
• Possess time management skills and be able to prioritize tasks.
• Manage stress in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Retail stocking experience preferred but willing to teach.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but experience is valued.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos.
• Ability to communicate with and understand coworkers and guests.
• Mathematical skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide without assistance.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual skills are a plus.
