About the position

The National Account Manager is responsible for developing new Direct National Accounts for the AmTopp Stretch Film Group, focusing on securing 2 to 3-year National Stretch Film contracts exceeding $1 million each. This role requires strong communication with the marketing department and national sales force to coordinate film trials and close accounts, leveraging technical knowledge of stretch film and competitor offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new National Accounts by making sales calls at their headquarters.
  • Solicit 2 to 3-year National Stretch Film contracts in excess of $1 million each.
  • Communicate and coordinate with National Customers using stretch film in their operations.
  • Select best product offerings to maximize savings and reduce film consumption.
  • Monitor inventory closely for assigned products and prepare cost analysis.
  • Arrange and participate in field testing of stretch film on customer stretch wrappers.
  • Communicate with Regional Sales Managers and National Sales force for feedback and savings results.
  • Responsible for proper sourcing of inventory to prevent outages.
  • Oversee National Customer Service rep for timely delivery and correct pricing.
  • Handle quality issues promptly and provide cause and effect reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing preferred.
  • 7-8 years of strong sales experience with a competitive stretch film supplier.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to escalate issues when necessary.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Strong product knowledge of competitive stretch film offerings and equipment knowledge.
  • Ability to conduct complete stretch film audits and provide detailed reports.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating film trials and audits.
  • Ability to travel 25% for day trips.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in drafting sales strategies for product offerings.
  • Familiarity with conducting RFQs and completing pricing spreadsheets.
