About the position

The Adult Mental Health Case Manager at Helen Farabee Center is responsible for delivering clinical services and community support to individuals with severe and persistent behavioral health illnesses. This role involves working under the supervision of the Center Manager and adhering to state and organizational standards, including the Texas Resiliency and Recovery Model. The position requires providing assessments, crisis intervention, and support to clients while promoting informed choices and access to community resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers in making informed choices and educate them on community resources.
• Schedule uniform assessments and update treatment plans according to consumer needs.
• Provide face-to-face assessment and crisis intervention services to individuals in need.
• Serve on-call after regular business hours, with compensation provided.
• Provide consultation and support to fellow staff as needed.
• Maintain unassigned caseloads and assist caseworkers with assigned caseloads as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social, behavioral, or human services field.
• Valid driver's license and insurable to drive Center vehicles.
• Ability to pass and maintain all Center mandated trainings and certifications.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with severe and persistent mental illness is preferred but not required.
