About the position

The Senior Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Process is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers. This role involves leading the development and release of manufacturing processes for new customer products, providing feedback on technical requirements, and utilizing Design for Manufacturability (DFX) tools to enhance product quality and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and implement the customer's technical roadmap and related process development projects.
  • Lead and implement the development and release of the full manufacturing process for new customer products.
  • Provide feedback on customers' technical requirements to team members and management.
  • Develop and implement costed and optimized feedback using Design for Manufacturability (DFX) tools and processes.
  • Plan and lead the assessment of the capability of process applications using Design of Experiments.
  • Devise process controls and data collection strategies to evaluate complex data for reporting yield and diagnosing root causes of failures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication to management on critical technical and business issues.

Requirements

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage complex engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with NPI-PCBA processes such as ESD, Component Prep, Laser marking, and SMT data analytics.
  • Familiarity with quality data (KPI) and Engineering Control & System Tools (ODC/SCE).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operational management and DFM - Mfg.
