About the position
Phoenix Tailings is a rapidly-growing clean mining and metals production startup dedicated to sustainable and economic critical metals production. Our mission is to be the world's first fully clean mining and metals production company, producing the resources needed for the next generation of our economy. We are looking for a results-oriented and tactical Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our dynamic team, driving financial strategy and propelling our growth trajectory. You will play a pivotal role in securing capital, optimizing financial performance, and navigating the complexities of a rapidly evolving clean tech landscape. With your strategic acumen and leadership expertise, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of the company and maximizing shareholder value.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies, including long-term financial plans, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation strategies.
- Lead negotiations on complex capital structures, including project financing, mezzanine debt, and equity capital.
- Oversee all financial operations, providing leadership and direction to the finance team, managing financial reporting, internal controls, risk management, and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Requirements
- Proven track record of success as a financial leader, preferably within the clean technology or mining industries.
- Experience with project & debt financing facilities in a high growth environment.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in senior financial management roles, with a strong understanding of financial modeling, capital markets, and mergers and acquisitions.
- Demonstrated expertise in building high-performing finance teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
