About the position
Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work as a 1:1 school nurse in Salem, MA. The role involves providing care for a medically complex male student with specific health needs, including a g-tube, trach, and seizure disorder. The position is scheduled from Monday to Friday during school hours and is set to start on January 2nd, 2025, for the duration of the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 nursing care to a medically complex student.
- Administer medications and manage medical equipment such as g-tubes and trachs.
- Monitor the student's health and respond to any medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure the student's health needs are met.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with at least 1 year of experience.
- Experience with trachs and pediatric care is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a school setting.
- Certification in pediatric nursing.
