About the position
The 1L Clerk, Diversity Clerkship Program at MassMutual is an 8-week summer internship designed for first-year law students. This program offers a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful legal assignments, professional events, and pro bono work while working alongside experienced legal professionals in a Fortune 500 company. The internship is available in Springfield or Boston, Massachusetts, with hybrid work options, and includes a housing stipend and competitive pay.
Responsibilities
- Engage in various legal assignments across corporate, litigation, and regulatory practices.
- Conduct legal research and analysis, including artificial intelligence research and tax research.
- Attend and support depositions and other legal proceedings.
- Work on venture capital and private equity transactions.
- Participate in networking opportunities with law firms in the Boston area.
Requirements
- Enrolled in an ABA accredited law school as a first-year law student for the 2024-2025 academic year.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship.
