About the position

As a (Contract) Senior Visual Product Designer at Crunchyroll, you will provide a visual refresh to the app experience across mobile, web, and TV. This role aims to enhance user experiences and delight anime fans. You will collaborate with a team of designers to evolve the Crunchyroll experience, demonstrating an understanding of the industry and empathy for users. Your designs will focus on creating elegant, engaging, and functional solutions for an outstanding user experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visual refresh to the Crunchyroll app experience across mobile, web, and TV.
• Collaborate with a team of designers to evolve the Crunchyroll experience.
• Create solutions that enhance user experience and delight anime fans.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the industry and competitors.
• Utilize design expertise to think through problems and create effective design solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional visual design experience.
• Strong visual capabilities and a wide range of styles.
• Experience with brand and identity work.
• Proficiency in design programs like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Demonstrate a user-centered approach and empathy for end-users.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Adept collaboration skills with teams.
• Experience designing visual design language for UI.
• Understanding of anime fandom or similar fandom.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong illustration capabilities.
• Experience designing UI for TV devices.
• Experience working in the streaming or entertainment industry.
• Experience with prototyping.
