The 1-on-1 Academic Coach position at Staying Ahead of the Game involves providing personalized tutoring and mentoring to K-12 students in the Greater Houston Area. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about education and have the ability to build strong relationships with students and their families. The position offers flexible part-time hours, primarily after school, and requires in-person meetings with students in their homes or at designated locations.

Responsibilities

• Meet 1:1 with students
• Communicate regularly with parents
• Record progress notes after each session
• Log hours using Quickbooks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Educational or Psychological Degree Preferred
• Experience in tutoring, coaching, or mentoring
• Ability to build and maintain strong rapport with students and families
• Commitment to work for 1 school year
• Pass a background check

• Experience in Math (Calculus), Science (Chemistry, Physics), ISEE Test Prep, ACT, SAT
