About the position

The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a senior technical contributor for a Fortune 500 fintech client, focusing on formulating systems scope and objectives in alignment with the client's business plan and industry requirements. This role involves providing technical guidance, consulting on complex projects, and acting as a liaison between end-users and consultants. The analyst will be responsible for researching and documenting client needs, defining product scope and requirements, and ensuring application integrity through testing and quality management.

Responsibilities

  • Work individually or within a team on technology business consulting projects to meet specific client requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between end-users and consultants during IT and technology consulting projects.
  • Research and document client needs, technology, or regulations related to system design and enhancements.
  • Define product scope, objectives, and requirements.
  • Create detailed specifications for program development and testing.
  • Analyze marketplace, industry, company, technology trends, and vendor products.
  • Devise and modify processes to achieve greater efficiencies and solve complex technical problems.
  • Assess available technologies and recommend solutions to the consulting team.
  • Write test plans and test cases to ensure application integrity and client needs are met.
  • Conduct various tests such as system, integration, readiness, and acceptance tests.
  • Influence clients and business partners regarding priorities and vendor selection.
  • Act as team leader for technical aspects of consulting projects and mentor less experienced analysts.
  • Train client and technical support personnel on enhancements and new systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple end-to-end systems development life cycles.
  • Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines through UML and use cases.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to build high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient/Advanced skill in MS Excel.
  • Knowledge in data analysis.
  • Knowledge in script execution via CMD line.
