The Project Coordinator position is a fully remote role that requires candidates to work on Pacific Standard Time (PST) hours. This position is critical for supporting various product and system-related projects within the financial services sector, specifically focusing on broker-dealer, wealth management, and merger & acquisition (M&A) activities in the fixed income industry. The Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with Project Managers to define and document tasks and activities, ensuring that project objectives are met efficiently and effectively. In this role, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and documenting project resource costs, assisting in managing project-related expenditures, and maintaining comprehensive documentation of business requirements for new systems and modifications to existing systems. The individual will also develop and maintain workflow documentation and departmental procedures, ensuring that all project and departmental reporting tools are up to date. This includes tracking and updating project issues lists and assisting in the creation of various project documents, such as reports for the finance team, which are crucial for accurate project capitalization calculations. The Project Coordinator will interact with various internal teams, including Project Managers, PMO Directors, IT professionals, Brokerage Operations, Risk and Compliance, and Finance departments. Additionally, the role involves liaising with external third-party product vendors, which requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of project management principles and experience working within a PMO or project team, making them a vital asset to the organization.
