About the position

The Heroku Postgres/PL-SQL Developer III is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing software projects and operational maintenance tasks on the Heroku platform. This role focuses on optimizing data architecture and flow to support business needs, ensuring effective integration between various systems, and collaborating with teams for successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and unit test optimized and scalable solutions using the Heroku platform.
• Manage data interfaces from source systems to Heroku and from Heroku to Salesforce Lightning and CRM Analytics.
• Improve data architecture and optimize data flow to better support business needs.
• Define new development requirements through communication with requesters.
• Collaborate with testers and DevOps engineers for testing and deploying Java-based web applications on Heroku.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and maintain Heroku Postgres.
• Enhance integration between source systems and Heroku, as well as between Heroku and Salesforce or CRM Analytics/Tableau.
• Troubleshoot Heroku Postgres, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve issues.
• Analyze and understand Java source using data transformation in Heroku.
• Collaborate with 3rd party or other IT teams for successful product enhancement or maintenance support.
• Work with offshore 3rd level development team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent curriculum.
• 8 years of experience in a programming position.
• 4 years of deep experience in Heroku Integrations/Postgres.
• Experience in PL/SQL and ETL processes.
• Ability to determine business and technical objectives and set appropriate expectations for the Heroku platform.
• Experience in training teams on Heroku architecture principles and best practices.
• 2 years of experience with CRM Analytics/Tableau.
• 2 years of experience in Java programming and debugging.
• Excellent analytical skills and superior problem-solving skills.
• Good documentation skills.
• Willingness to assist users with their tasks when needed.
• Certification on PaaS platform and Postgres PL/SQL is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Automotive Industry/Salesforce Heroku initiatives.
• Certifications on Salesforce skills, especially in back end/integration/reporting.
• Korean bilingual.
