About the position
Champion Home Builders, Inc. is seeking Independent Contractors for the role of Home Service Technician to perform warranty work on sold manufactured homes. The primary responsibility is to address common service issues as per service work orders, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and effectively. This role involves coordination with the Warranty Service Department and requires documentation of completed jobs.
Responsibilities
- Execute warranty work on sold homes per service work orders.
- Repair common service issues associated with new manufactured homes.
- Coordinate with Champion Homes Warranty Service Department staff for work orders.
- Document the problem, probable cause, and repairs done on every task on the work order.
- Provide electronic documentation of completed jobs, including photos and verification of expenses.
Requirements
- Must have a contractor's license.
- Must provide proof of insurance with Champion Homes as an additional insured.
- Must submit a W-9 along with the signed contract for service provider.
- Must communicate effectively with the Warranty Department via phone, email, digital photos, or fax.
- Must electronically submit photos, documents, and verification of expenses to process work orders.
Nice-to-haves
- Prior knowledge of mobile homes and HUD regulations preferred.
- Willingness to learn about mobile homes and HUD regulations quickly.
