About the position

Under the direction of Site Principal and the Principal's designee, to work with young men and women in a flexible program exemplifying high performance qualities.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate competency in the sport.
  • Work within a diversified and meaningful program.
  • Provide leadership within a character-building program.
  • Emphasize good sportsmanship, academic excellence, positive attitude and character.
  • Work effectively with students, parent groups and the general public.
  • Be knowledgeable and competent in first aid and emergency procedures.
  • Complete mandatory CIF Coaching Principles training.
  • Complete mandatory Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training.
  • Apply and obtain the Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) if a teaching credential is not held.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of all Education Code and Title 5, California Code of Regulations requirements for coaching eligibility.
  • Possession of the Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) or California Teaching Credential.
  • Possession of a valid California driver license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous head coaching experience in the sport.
