About the position
Under the direction of Site Principal and the Principal's designee, to work with young men and women in a flexible program exemplifying high performance qualities.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate competency in the sport.
- Work within a diversified and meaningful program.
- Provide leadership within a character-building program.
- Emphasize good sportsmanship, academic excellence, positive attitude and character.
- Work effectively with students, parent groups and the general public.
- Be knowledgeable and competent in first aid and emergency procedures.
- Complete mandatory CIF Coaching Principles training.
- Complete mandatory Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Training.
- Apply and obtain the Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) if a teaching credential is not held.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of all Education Code and Title 5, California Code of Regulations requirements for coaching eligibility.
- Possession of the Activity Supervisor Clearance Certificate (ASCC) or California Teaching Credential.
- Possession of a valid California driver license.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous head coaching experience in the sport.
