About the position
Price Chopper/Market 32 Supermarkets is accepting applications for future part-time openings. There are a number of departments within the store. A brief description of each department is listed below. Most hiring activity occurs on the front end and night crew, but we do hire individuals with previous experience into other departments. Price Chopper/Market 32 has a history of promoting from within. We post all our full-time positions internally, so a part-time position could lead to a long career with us if you possess the drive, motivation and desire to help our customers. When you complete the application you can list up to three departments that interest you and/or select 'any department' if you are willing to work anywhere in the store. Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch service at the Front End.
- Assist in the Bakery department with artisan bread production.
- Fill prescriptions and provide health care counseling in the Pharmacy.
- Create custom bouquets and manage floral orders in the Floral department.
- Prepare and serve high-quality deli products in the Deli/Food Service department.
- Stock and merchandise products in the General Merchandise department.
- Manage grocery stocking and displays in the Grocery department.
- Provide fresh meat products in the Meat department.
- Educate guests about produce in the Produce department.
- Assist customers with seafood purchases and preparation in the Seafood department.
Requirements
- Must be reliable and honest.
- Possess integrity and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read and write at the 8th grade level.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (or still pursuing education).
